How it works

Get ready for your interview in two steps

At the interview, the officer has your forms and your documents, and talks to both of you. OathSure shows you where they differ, so you can check it at home first.

Step 1

Practice the questions, each on your own

The officer may ask you both the same question. You each answer on your phone, in your own words. You see your partner's answer only after you have both answered.

Example question

Where did you first meet?

Maria
At Priya's wedding, in May 2021.
Daniel
At a friend's wedding. It was spring 2021.
Consistent, worded differentlySame facts, different words. That is normal memory.
  • Questions for your kind of interview, by topic
  • Follow-up questions, the way an officer asks them

Step 2

Talk through what differs

Your report lists the answers that do not match. Sit down together and go over them. It is not a prediction of the interview.

Example: your report

What color is your kitchen?

Maria: Yellow · Daniel: White

Direct contradiction

What did you do last weekend?

Daniel remembered more of the day

One side gave more

Who cooks most nights?

Maria: Daniel does · Daniel: I do, mostly

Good to know

  • OathSure is not a lawyer. It does not tell you what to file.
  • It does not write your answers or predict the interview.
  • It does not check your case status. For that, use the USCIS case status page.
